Sports Hypnosis

The great thing about Sports Hypnosis is that it can be done in person (usually preferred) or it can be done over the internet.

How we use Sports Hypnosis

Performance in sport is at best variable even with the most skilled players. Anxiety plays a large part in performance because it lives in the domain of the unknown, and that uncertainty is what causes anxiety. In Sports Hypnosis we can slow down and quieten the “white noise”, we can offer the player “triggers” to employ when they start to feel stressed and we can rehearse the competition before it even happens, reducing the anxiety therefore feeling more comfortable.

Which sports can Hypnosis be used for?

The answer is absolutely any sport at all. This is because we teach self-hypnosis to all our clients, enabling them to use various techniques at the suitable time. Whether it’s slowing the heart rate in target shooting or visualising a putt, it really doesn’t matter. Then with use of Mindfulness and its ability to look at pain or anxiety rather than react from it, the combination is complete.

How to get started with Sports Hypnosis

The great thing about Sports Hypnosis is that it can be done in person (usually preferred) or it can be done over the internet. It can be at the sports venue with prior arrangement or in our offices. We also add an MP3 for each session that enables a competitor to take with them before a competition. These are not hypnotic (not just before a competition) but suggestive and reinforces work done previously.

ITS SOCIAL CONCEQUENCES AND ONLINE ASSISTANCE

Lack of social contact, self-worth, uncertainty, anxiety and depression are just a few of the personal challenges we may face during this time in our lives and our country’s history. I have found many of my clients are happy and find positive outcomes from our online sessions, in fact online therapy has been around for many years however now at this time, it comes into its own. What is required for an online session?
  • You need a good internet connection preferably with a headset but not essential.
  • You need a quiet space
  • You need a chair that does not move.
Given this time a financial stress and need for positive mental health I have devised a package that will give you 8 sessions over 8 weeks. Each session will last between 30-45 mins. The cost of the 8 sessions over 8 week package is approximately the same as just one visit to my rooms! Online has its advantages. If you wish to STOP SMOKING to reduce your exposure to COVID-19, I have devised a separate online package to suit your needs. This also applies to IBS clients which is a 12 week therapy. Stay well everyone
