Mindfulness Meditation teaches us how the relate to our physical feelings and our emotions differently. Mindfulness teaches us to observe the signals in our body and look at the feelings or pain rather than being immersed in the feelings. It teaches us to be an “observer” in a non-judgemental way and by using our breathe as the key to anchoring ourselves at any time of the day or night.
Where can I use Mindfulness?
Mindfulness can be used from a 3 minute “time out” with yourself to an hour’s meditation once the technique has been perfected and if you have the time. It can be done sitting, walking or laying down. It can be done at work, at home or during sporting contests. This the modern approach to Mindfulness, somewhat removed from the traditional Buddhist method but still based on being quietly focused on the breath, excluding the outside world for just a few minutes and experiencing clear focus in the current moment.

How to get started with Mindfulness?
We teach our clients how to begin the Mindfulness practice and stay with them for the clinically proved time it takes to alter the various pathways in our brain which is 8 weeks. Each week a new MP3 is provided to take the experience further into everyday life. Because the client is alert with eyes closed or gently open during this process these sessions can be performed over the internet if necessary.

I have found many of my clients are happy and find positive outcomes from our online sessions, in fact online therapy has been around for many years however now at this time, it comes into its own.
What is required for an online session?
You need a good internet connection preferably with a headset but not essential.
You need a quiet space
You need a chair that does not move.
Given this time a financial stress and need for positive mental health I have devised a package that will give you 8 sessions over 8 weeks. Each session will last between 30-45 mins. The cost of the 8 sessions over 8 week package is approximately the same as just one visit to my rooms! Online has its advantages.
If you wish to STOP SMOKING to reduce your exposure to COVID-19, I have devised a separate online package to suit your needs. This also applies to IBS clients which is a 12 week therapy.
